Summer Fun!!

Summers here and the time is right to head on out to the beach. These photos were all taken in Florida during this year. There is a pretty substantial surfing crowd all along the eastern shore down here. The lifeguard stand above was photographed in Hollywood Florida. Several TV shows do a lot of filming on Hollywood Beach. There's a wonderful promenade along a beautiful stretch of beach filled with fun restaurants and shops. Treasury: Touches of Red

Curating and making treasuries on Etsy is a lot of fun. I recently made this one and the response was amazing. I only started making treasuries a few months ago. The more of them you make the better you get at curating them. Like anything else I suppose. Practice makes perfect. The best part is promoting other artists work. The community at Etsy is very supportive and friendly. Pay back feels great!

Wisteria in Winter

I thought I would post this lovely photo of Wisteria that I photographed in Paris during the Spring. For some reason it has suddenly begun to receive a lot of activity on etsy as well as one customer ordering it in size 30 x 40. It's a really charming, colorful scene marking the promise of Spring. Since we are in the dead of Winter I thought it would be a lovely contrast to the seasons austerity and sometimes bleakness.

My first Treasuries on Etsy!

Ok, so, it only took me "almost" two years to make my very first treasury on etsy. Whose counting? Only me, lol. These are my first two attempts. I really enjoy the process of curating and promoting other artisans work on etsy. It's a fun way to connect and hopefully make a new friend or two. I've made several more since venturing out. Initially, I was completely intimidated by the process. But, there is this new, cool, tool to help you out called Enhantsy. It makes treasury making a breeze. Check it out!!

What a wonderful time of year Autumn is. I always think of October in terms of color, especially orange and blue. Colorful leaves silhouetted against an azure blue sky. What could be better? Maybe the aroma of wood burning on a cool and crisp evening? Pumpkin or apple picking with the kids? Apple cider? So many joys of the season. The photo's above were all taken on the north shore of Long Island, New York. You can still find some lovely bucolic areas there.

Autumn Waters

Summer is over and Fall has been reborn. All the magnificent colors of Autumn makes me think its something new arriving when in fact it is the end of a cycle. I love the fact that the leaves turn fabulous colors before they wither and die. It's hopeful and lovely. I took these photos on a beach out east on Long Island on a beautiful October day as the sun was setting. They're available in my Etsy shop.

Palm Trees in Switzerland

People are often surprised to learn that Switzerland has palm trees. This is Ascona. A beautiful small town on the Italian Lake Maggiore. This is in the canton of Ticino near Italy. The Italian lake region where Italy and Switzerland meet is one of the most enchanting places on earth. Well, at least to me. You can have fog at certain times of year, but the climate is generally temperate and mild and the scenery spectacular. Not to mention the food of course. Definitely worth a visit.
